We are excited to continue our partnership with UCD School of Health and Performance Science, providing UCD HP students the opportunity to bring their expertise in athletic development to Kilmacud Crokes coaches and players. This collaboration builds on the initial work of the Juvenile Football Committee in 2023.

With the support of Dr. James Timmons and Brian Spring at UCD, we have successfully expanded the initiative across all four codes in Kilmacud Crokes. We are thrilled to have 17 UCD students actively working alongside our coaches and players.

From the club’s perspective, this initiative has two key goals:

  1. To leverage the expertise of UCD students to enhance the athletic development of our U14 players.
  2. To provide ongoing education and development opportunities for our volunteer coaches, helping them improve their coaching skills and deepen their knowledge of athletic development.

Over 100 of our U14 boys and girls have already undergone testing at the High Performance Gym in UCD, and our UCD students continue to work closely with them and their coaches on a weekly basis.

We extend our sincere thanks to UCD for their continued support in making this collaboration possible.
