Féile Update

We had 3 teams participating in Féile today. Unfortunately, both the A and the B team did not make it through to the next stage. The C team - playing locally in Silverpark, have made it through to the county final for their division.

The final will be played in Peregrines ground at Blakestown Rd. on Sunday morning at 10.30, against Liffey Gaels.

Please come along and support the lads.

Well done to all involved today with the 3 teams.

U-14B Report

The U14B team did themselves proud in Feile earlier today.  The team got off to a bad start against a very physical Erin's Isle team and the match was pretty much over as a contest by half time.  However, the team really dug in against a very strong breeze in the second half and while we ultimately lost, it set us up for our match against the hosts and eventual group winners, OP/ER.  Playing against a team that plays two divisions higher than us in the league was never going to be an easy task.  However, entering the final stages of the match, we were right in it until a couple of late goals gave OP/ER victory in what had been an incredible tight contest.  With confidence high, the team's final match was against local rivals, Naomh Olaf, who had also lost their first two matches.  This was a very open and exciting game with all the players feeling the effects of 2 hours of football.  In the end, we came from 8 points down at half time to record a well-deserved victory.  Congratulations to all the boys and thanks to OP/ER for being such excellent hosts.
