SUPPORTERS IN 7th HEAVEN AS CROKES SHOW ‘X FACTOR’

Congratulations to our Senior Footballers and management team on a wonderful victory today in the Dublin SFC Final.  After a tame first half, played before a large crowd in glorious sunshine, Brigids had recovered from being 0-2 to 0-0 down to lead 0-5 to 0-4 at the break. All to play for!

Paddy Carr’s men thundered out of the blocks in the second half with Captain Fantastic, Pat Burke, levelling the match inside 30 seconds. Crokes met stiff resistance, particularly from goalkeeper Shane Supple, but gradually took control and were completely dominant at the end.

At the final whistle the Crokes had a 7 point lead to claim their 7th title and 4thin the last 7 years (1992, 1994, 1998, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2010).  See Hill16 and other publications for full match report.  Be sure to check back here over the next few days to see videos and photos from today’s game.  For now it’s time to celebrate …..!
