Intermediates v Setanta July 30

Sunday morning 30th July saw Crokes Intermediates hurlers register a 1-15 to 0-14 championship win over Setanta following a hard fought match.

 

After ten minutes it looked as if Crokes had the game in the bag when a goal put them 1-4 to 0-1 ahead.  However the Ballymun team fought back and Crokes interval lead was down to 1-8 to 0-8.  Helped by sterling performances from Tomas Donohue, Damien McSweeney, Dave Canny, Niall Lillis, veteran Niall Butler (who contributed two second half points) and debutant Brian Sheehan Crokes kept their noses in front to snatch the points.
