Tom McIntyre

Chaired the Hurling Sevens workgroup for approx 14 years. He also served as Secretary to the group for approximately 12 years. Has been involved with the Sevens from the start and was the chief driving force behind it for many years. In latter years he has been in charge of all pitch preparation for the event and and took over from P.J. as pitch Manager at Glenalbyn, a job he still does.

Tom also Served as Chairman of the Hurling Committee, Chairman of Coiste and also Secretary to the Hurling Committee. Tom also served on the executive Committee of the club and was Registrar for a number of years.

In conclusion one could say both P.J and Tom have given many many years to building what is now a great club. These two men were in at the start and were never afraid to get their hands dirty, particularly in the preparation of the many pitches that must be made ready for the day of the Sevens.

Worthy recipients both.
