NHL Final - Exciting Day for Kids in Prospect
Preparations are almost complete for the Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Family Fun Day on Sunday 1st May next as the excitement builds at Dublin reaching the National Hurling League Final for the first time since 1946. The club is extremely well represented on the panel with players Niall Corcoran, Ryan O’Dwyer, Ronan Walsh, Conor Clinton and Barry O’Rorke, selector Richie Stakelum and team doctor Chris Thompson. It is important for the club that we go along to cheer and give them all the support we can.
To celebrate, Juvenile players, their parents/guardians and mentors are invited to a BBQ in Glenalbyn starting at 12.30pm on the day of the game (Sun May 1st). The Under 8s, 9s, 10s and 12’s are organising matches all of which are envisaged being played in Pairc De Burca from 11.30am onwards. The days programme is:
11.30 – 14.00 U8 – U12 Hurling Matches
U12 playing O'Loughlin Gaels @ 1pm
U10s playing Bray Emmets @ 12.15pm
U9’s internal blitz @ 11.30am
U8s playing Graigue Ballycallan @ 12.15pm
12.30 – 14.30 BBQ – (Free Burgers and Refreshments)
12.30 – 14.30 Children’s Face Painting
14.30 Buses leave for Croke Park (€5 per adult return, children free)
16.00 Throw-In
18.00 Buses Leaves Croke Park for Victorious Return back to Glenalbyn
18.45 – 19.00 Arrival at Glenalbyn
19.00 Continue the festivities
Kilmacud Crokes Hurling is encouraging Parents and Children to come along and then go to the big game in Croke Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to see our local heroes grace the big stage in a National Final and a memory that will live with the kids for a long time.
