Senior A's lose to Pat's, as Senior B's draw with Erin's Isle

The Kilmacud Crokes senior hurling team travelled to Glenaulin Park to take on St Pats of Palmerstown on Saturday night, 21 June. Crokes were short a number of players due to Dublin commitments, which allowed Dublin Minor Eamonn Allen to make his senior debut. St Pats were out to take advantage and struck for the first score straight from the throw in. Pats continued to press hard and added a goal and a point to take a 5 point lead. Crokes settled to the task with Matthew Geraghty and Aodan De Paor steadying the ship and started to claw back the deficit, with fine scores from Sean McGrath and Ross O'Carroll. Paddy Tighe was very unlucky not to score a goal when the Pats keeper made a fine save, but a point was a scored from the rebound. It was very tight and Crokes  continued to chip away at the lead, with the half time score being St Pats 1-07 to Crokes 0-08.

The second half was full of some fine hurling, mostly by St Pats, with Crokes struggling to stay with them. Soon after the restart the Pats corner forward rounded his man and scored his second goal of the night. This put a 6 point deficit between the teams and although Crokes tried manfully to close the gap with some well worked scores from Dillon Mulligan, Andy Cullinane and Paddy Tighe they couldnt get the gap below 5 points, despite some super free taking from Sean McGrath. The final score was St Pats 2-15 Kilmacud Crokes 0-16

Best for Crokes on the night were Matt Collins, Paul Collins, Donal O'Cathain and Conor Clinton and Dara O'Gallchobhair

Meanwhile the Senior B's drew Erin's Isle in Silverpark in their AHL2 clash.
