The U21A team travelled to Pearse Park to play a fancied Crumlin team in the quarter final of the championship. The pitch was in superb condition for what turned out to be a great match.

Crumlin started strongly in all sectors and had Crokes in difficulties early on but the move of Jude Sweeney to midfield started the comeback. Points from Oisin O'Rourke and Ken Kelly brought us back into the game and Caolan Conway was unfortunate to have a goal disallowed. Our backs, led by Emmet Doherty, James Murphy and Rob Murphy started winning breaking ball and at half time it was Crokes 0-06 to Crumlins 1-03.

We started strongly in the second half with Alex Pilkington to the fore with some great scores however we conceded a second goal to level the match with 15 minutes left. However with Cian McGabhann and Cian Gormley cleaning up at the back with assistance from Matthew Geraghty we responded with the next 4 points before Crumlin scored again. However with Sean Garvey directing operations at the back ably assisted by Jamie Clinton we started pushing on with Tom Clarke and Dillon Mulligan scoring fine points

At full time the score was Kilmacud Crokes  0-19 to Crumlin 2-07

Scorers were: Ken Kelly 0-06 (4f, 1 65), Caolan Conway 0-04, Oisin O'Rourke and Alex Pilkington 0-03 each, Tom Clarke 0-02 and Dillon Mulligan 0-01
