U9's Trip to Tipp

2004 Kilmacud Crokes Hurlers Trip to Tipp on the 21st of April 2013

This was our first trip down the country this year and everyone was really looking forward to our game against Galmoy , Co Kilkenny and then to see the Dublin Hurlers play Tipp later that afternoon in the National Hurling League semi final in Thurles, Co Tipperary . We left the club in the morning with 14 eager hurlers on the bus and with the promise that Thomas Downey and the two Oisín's would meet us in Galmoy. When we got to the pitch everyone togged out and went onto the pitch and got ready for the matches . It has to be said that the pitch was in perfect condition with the sod absolutely perfect for good hurling and that is what we got in two very competitive matches.

After the match the boys got some treats from the Galmoy mentors and we left with a promise that we would be back again. Then into Thurles where we had a meal in the Anner Hotel and then up to the "Stadium" for the big match. Unfortunately the Dubs were disappointing on the day and got beaten by Tipp. Then after the game back to the bus where the boys were in boisterous mood. So back to the club with us. Another great trip away for the 2004 hurlers who are improving all the time and are showing improving skill and determination in every match.
