U10's Travel to Passage West

39 girls from the U12 and U8 age groups joined forces with 60 clubs from around Ireland as they headed to Passage West in Cork recently for what has become a highlight in the annual GAA calendar for the girls and the 11th year of the Passage West GAA Ladies Blitz!! A number of Crokes U12 girls had the opportunity to join in the fun - delighted to be asked to referee for the day.
Saturday began with a high energy parade as we showcased a fantastic purple and gold dragon singing at the top of our voices. 
The girls played a total of 16 matches and enjoyed every minute of what was a marvelous day of sportsmanship, community and goodwill. New friendships were made and existing ones were cemented both on an off the pitch as the teams organised evening meals, team events and attended the very popular disco hosted by Passage West. They finished the weekend in style with Kombat archery in Fota Park.
We owe a huge debt of thanks to Passage West GAA club,the mentors and volunteers who meticulously planned and organised what was a most fantastic weekend for the underage players.
