U8s make their Croker debut
Body
The U8s get to run out on the field of dreams - read Brian Dillons account.
Our Under 8 Hurlers and Footballers took part in the Leinster Go Games Day in Croke Park on Monday.
We had 31 players who travelled to Croke Park. The day started with a tour of the Cusack Stand dressing rooms, with the boys running out the tunnel to get their photo taken before the match.
Our Hurlers played against Parnells, a game which they won through some great team play throughout the pitch. The boys were cheered on by their family and friends and KC and Dublin great Niall Corcoran. After the match the boys got to go up to the presentation area of the Hogan stand where they got presented with and lift the cup. Our footballers played fantastically against St Brigids ,scoring some great scores to ensure a double win for our Under 8s.
All the boys from both hurling and football played fantastically well and were a credit to Kilmacud Crokes both on and off the pitch.
Let’s hope that this is the start of many more appearances the boys will make in the KC Purple and Gold in Croke Park.
A big thanks to Leinster GAA and Croke Park for organising a great day to remember and of course for our own Niall and Paraic for helping ensure we got there.”
