Good win for Senior A's away to Brigids
Strong performance earns Crokes the points.
A pleasant evening for hurling in Russell Park, in front of a vociferous home crowd.
Crokes were again dependent on some of their young guns and returning faces, due to the absence of a number of the more established Senior A panel. And they certainly stepped up to the mark..
Crokes finished the first half 1-08 to 0-06 to the good, including a fine effort by Ryan O Dwyer which raised the green flag. Although Brigids did score a goal in response midway through the second half Crokes maintained their composure and won out in the end by 6 points, Final score Brigids 1-11, Crokes 1-17.
This was also one of the first outings for the new Crokes away kit (which looks pretty cool!), displaying the logo of new Kilmacud Crokes club sponsors, Bank of Ireland...
