FABULOUS FOOTBALL WEEKEND!
We are honoured to be represented by so many Club members in Sunday's All Ireland Football Championship games. Congratulations to Seniors; Rory O'Carroll, Kevin Nolan, Cian O'Sullivan, Craig Dias and Ross O'Carroll, Selector Paddy O'Donoghue and Minors; Paul Mannion, Dave Campbell and Andrew O'Malley. This is a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the commitment from the players and the support provided by everyone associated with them in the Club. Friday
Lunch "Super Friday" in the Village Café... all main courses €5 or less!!
1:30 p.m. Sean Moncrieff Newstalk LIVE broadcast from Function Room while 5-times All Ireland
Club Football Championship winner Oisin McConville trains the U13s. Everyone in the Club and extended Community encouraged to come along and enter into the fun as we start Fabulous Football Week-end!
Saturday
11 a.m. All Ireland Football 7s Championship games begin in Glenalbyn, Naomh Olafs and Silverpark. A great day of football is promised by the 40 teams taking part from all over Ireland. Come along and support your 'home' County - be it Dublin or otherwise.
All Day Football matches, Blue September male health and fitness awareness campaign and 'face' painting and a raffle for some elusive All Ireland Final tickets... plenty going on (including a raffle for an iPad by VHI!!).
5 p.m. Blue September Dublin vs Rest of Ireland 'LEGENDS' Football game. A unique opportunity to watch 'legends' in action...Johnny + Darren Magee, Jim Galvin, Jason Sherlock, Collie Moran, Pady Christy, Senan Connell, Darren Homan, Paul Curran, Kieran McGeeney, Steven McDonnell, Seamus Moynihan, Dara O'Se, Padraic Joyce, Conor Mortimer, Mattie Forde and Dick Clerkin. Bring along the family and watch some national football legends in action. The Dublin Legends Team will be managed by none other than Mick O'Dwyer and captained by Ciaran Whelan...Rest of Ireland Legends will be managed by the legendary Sean Boylan and captained by Dara Ó Sé!! Raffle tickets for two All-Ireland Final tickets will also be sold here!!
6 p.m. All Ireland Football 7s Championship Final in Glenalbyn.
9 p.m. Adult entertainment... Trad Session in Kilmac's Bar (Clubhouse) with our own Paul Landers and Friends. Members, family, friends and community all very welcome. Come along and enjoy the very best of traditional music and good company ahead of the All Ireland Final in Croke Park.
Sunday
3 p.m. Family entertainment... for those unable to secure tickets for Croke Park, join fellow GAA enthusiasts to watch the All Ireland Football Champship Final in Glenalbyn. Pints €3 until 7p.m. with free soft drinks for accompanied children. Everyone welcome.
Food will be served by The Village Café throughout the afternoon and into the evening... treat yourself to lunch out ahead of the game or after (or both!)
