NOLAN CAPS AMAZING YEAR WITH ALL STAR AWARD
Congrats to Kevin Nolan on claiming his 1st All Star award tonight - what a momentous year this has been for him!  People thought that his greeting of Queen Elizabeth in Croke Park last May, on behalf of the nation's gaelic footballers, would be hard to surpass. Winning Sam with The Dubs in September and being named "Man of The Match" has been a simply incredible experience, and continues to be as he shares that success with the youth of the city (see main pic on homepage!).  Tonight, it's simply a case of Nirvana for Kevin as All Star awards are so, so special and a rarity for Dublin footballers recently - this Hill16 post is testament to that!  He joins the unique club of Kilmacud sportsmen that have won a coveted All Star: Robbie Kelleher (1974/75/77/78) and Ray Cosgrove (2002).  A total of 6 Dubs were chosen on the 2011 team.  With a little luck, Kevin's Dublin colleagues Cian O'Sullivan and Rory O'Carroll might also have featured - their day will also come!
Kevin, still only 23, has overcome injury in recent years to flourish in Pat Gilroy's 2011 team and we know there is much more to come from one of the really nice guys in the game.  He is a great role model for young people and all in Kilmacud are thrilled for him, and for his proud family.  In this video clip from 2010, Kevin pays tribute to all those that have helped him develop into an elite footballer and shares his thoughts on The Dubs.  Continue to live the dream and enjoy it all Kevin!
