U10 FOOTBALLERS WIN PADDY MURPHY CUP
A panel from Crokes u/10 (2004) footballers took part in the annual Paddy Murphy Cup played in glorious sunshine at St Parick's, Tinahely on Saturday 31st May.
The boys played very well to win all 3 of their group games, including a comprehensive defeat of our hosts Tinahely, Hacketstown and a hard earned 4-4 to 3-3 victory over Kilrush.
This left us in the A final against Clonmore of Carlow.
In a superb display from start to finish the boys found it hard to shake off strong opposition. Leading 0-5 to 0-4 early in the 2nd half , a rapid fire 2 -1 put some distance between the teams Although the Carlow lads never gave up , our boys ran out worthy 4-10 to 0-9 winners.
Well done to all the boys for bringing home some "silverware" for the 2004 Crokes.
