Support needed for All-Ireland Sevens
A Cairde,
On Saturday the 1st of September 2007 Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Section will host the 34th All Ireland Sevens tournament which has evolved into a true Festival of Hurling. We kindly request your advertising support for our colour programme of the day’s events. The game of Hurling needs a strong Dublin. This is an ideal opportunity for your company to engage in the community and do your part for the development of Hurling in the capital.
Dublin Hurling is on a very exciting journey – as Tom Humphries of the Irish Times put it recently: “Hurling is a beautiful game. People who love its beauty are making it grow in Dublin. The thought of Hurling, the most beautiful game in the world, flowering between the cracks of the city floor just makes you optimistic. Hurling is a language, a music all of its own”! These are indeed exciting times for the ancient game in the Capital:
ü Dublin clubs have won the famed U14 All Ireland Feile Na Gael tournament 2 of the last 3 years
ü Dublin has won two of the last three Leinster minor titles
ü Dublin Colleges were 2006 All Ireland Champions
ü Dublin are 2007 Leinster U-21 champions.
ü Excellent progress continues at senior level with Dublin competing at the top table this summer
In the month of June Kilmacud Crokes hosted a mini tournament for U-7 to U-13 with in excess of 1000 kids participating! Mol on oige agus tiochfaidh si!
Kilmacud Crokes is playing its part in this quiet hurling revolution. The Strategic plan for hurling in Kilmacud Crokes has seen recent developments including completion of a state of the art Hurling Arena and we plan to provide a full-time hurling coaching service. We have also invested in All-Weather training facilities. These developments along with the running of all club teams require significant resources – both human and financial. Our member’s incredible voluntary contributions are the basis for these adventurous developments. Funding support from organisations like yours is central to the successful execution of the Kilmacud Crokes Strategic Hurling plan.
This year on the 1st September over seventy teams will participate in the Sevens tournament. The events of the day will be covered by Setanta Sport TV, local & national radio and print media. We are again producing a colour programme and we are endeavouring to increase the number of adverts included within. To cater for the attendance, we will have a print run of over 3,000 programmes. If you are not personally in a position to place an advert, perhaps you might know of someone within your immediate circle that might. There are advert sizes and related costs to suit all budgets. Your support is greatly appreciated. The advertising rates for the programme are listed below. If you do wish to place an advertisement, please contact the undersigned at 087-2527281 or by e-mail at michael@bdassociates.ie All ads to be in by August 14th at very latest to facilitate editing, printing etc.
