Kilmacud Crokes registered all their scores from open play as they secured a second Go Ahead Ireland Dublin LGFA Championship title in three days, as their C team claimed Junior E honours with a 13-point victory over St. Anne's at DCU in Glasnevin on Sunday. This win followed the Junior I title clinched by their D team on Friday

St. Anne’s, last year's Junior F champions, were aiming for another step up the ranks. However, they knew the challenge ahead, having previously lost to Kilmacud Crokes 2-14 to 3-8 in the group stages. The match started slowly, with both teams struggling in blustery conditions. Kilmacud Crokes' Orla Fahey opened the scoring in the fifth minute, and the Stillorgan side quickly gained momentum.

Kilmacud Crokes raced to a 1-4 to 0-0 10th minute lead, with a well taken Aisling Carroll goal and points from Claire Young, Ava Burke, and Emer Crowley. St. Anne’s responded with a point from Katie Callery after a fine solo run by Abaigh Pollock, followed by a Caragh Jones free.

As the game progressed, Kilmacud Crokes hit a purple patch, scoring 1-3 unanswered from the 25th to 28th minute, including a goal from Sinead Murphy after good work by Fahey.

A St. Anne's goal chance from Katie Callery was thwarted by Crokes keeper Alana McCrohan, while at the opposite end Fahey's third point pushed Crokes to a 2-8 to 0-3 lead. St. Anne's managed a goal from Ava Barnes, after good work by Mya Clare on the stroke of injury-time but Crokes still led by nine at half-time, with Ava Burke adding to their tally.

The second half saw both teams struggle to score early on, but Kilmacud Crokes extended their lead with points from Aisling Carroll and Roisin O’Connor. St. Anne's tried to stay in the game with points from Callery, Jones and Clare but Carroll netted her third goal in the 56th minute to seal St. Anne’s fate.

Despite a late goal from Anna Barnes, St. Anne's couldn't close the gap.

Kilmacud Crokes captain Grainne Reynolds received the Cup from Dublin LGFA Secretary Mary O’Connor, and St. Anne’s defender Orla Walsh was named the Go-Ahead Ireland Player of the Match.
