U11's win St Martins Blitz
Written by our Cub Reporter Cian O'Cathasaigh
It was a bright Summers morning when the Kilmacud Crokes under 11 team went down to the St Martins hurling blitz. There were 4 teams in each group and we were in group 1. We played Thomastown first and we battled hard and managed to get away with the win. Then we came up against Mt Sion our old rivals! We just about scratched a win. Naomh Eanna were next, they had beaten us in the under 8 blitz final so we wanted revenge. We all fought really hard in this game and got a great win to put us into the final.
We played Midleton from Cork in the final, they were a really strong team. We were a goal ahead at half time but they came back in The second half and got a couple of scores but we hung on to win by a point. We had a great day. Thanks to St Martins, they were great hosts!
