It’s a measure of the standing of our U14 squad that for many losing out to James Stephens (the eventual winners) was a setback. From the outset we had the ambition to win All-Ireland Feile and can take pride in the preparation and all-round improvement in all our players.

With that in mind Crokes started very strongly going a point up straight from the throw in. With the wind at their backs Crokes capitalised on their great start with two early goals, one an own goal from the Wild Geese goalkeeper and the other a fine solo effort by Ian O’Keeffe.
