Minors beat Vincents
A rain sodden early morning departure launched the Kilmacud Crokes under 16 hurlers on what proved to be a very beneficial trip to the annual Carlow Town Hurling club Tournament on Saturday 5th July 2008, the unofficial All-Ireland for the grade.
On Saturday the 21st June Kilmacud U.12 team played St.
The senior hurlers had a useful work out in Silverpark on Monday 30th June 2008 against St Martins of Wexford.
With that in mind Crokes started very strongly going a point up straight from the throw in. With the wind at their backs Crokes capitalised on their great start with two early goals, one an own goal from the Wild Geese goalkeeper and the other a fine solo effort by Ian O’Keeffe.
