GREAT YEAR FOR U14C - LEAGUE & FÉILE WINNERS

What a fantastic result for the U14C team. Feile Champions and now League winners.  

The league final played on the Balinteer All weather pitch was a fitting last game of a long season for the lads. Sylvester's B started the game in very determined fashion. Our boys took a long time to get to the pace of the game and made a lot of uncharacteristic errors. The first half ended with Sylvester's ahead by 3-2 to 0-2. The boys were very disappointed with their performance at half time and came out in the 2nd half very determined to get back into the game. We started to win the 50:50 balls and reduced Sylvester's to kicking long range point attempts. We kept the score board ticking over with some fine scores and the boys implemented the game plan and never panicked. We were ahead with 2 minutes to go but Sylvester's scored a fine equaliser to take the game to extra time.

We had a great start to extra time with an early goal and point. The boys fitness really started to tell and the boys closed out the game winning by 6 points. 

What a great season for these lads winning both Feile and the league final. They are a great bunch of lads and they should be very proud of their achievements in 2014. Also a special thanks to the parents for all their help throughout the year. Lastly thanks to the mentors Paul Higgins and Eamonn O'Flynn.
