Coláiste Eoin lose out in injury time to CBS Kilkenny

Leinster Colleges SHC A Quarter Final heartache

Coláiste Eoin pushed hard in this most absorbing encounter with CBS Kilkenny, in Clonad GAA Club's excellent venue, only a few kilometres outside Port Laoise. Despite falling behind by 4 points without reply early on, the Stillorgan lads stuck doggedly to their task and, thanks to two excellently taken goals by Con Ó Ceallacháin and Colm Ó Néill - led by the slenderest of margins at half time; 2-02 to 0-07.

CBS opened the second period with a further 4 points before Coláiste Eoin managed to score again. However, gradually Colaiste Eoin gained the upper hand and, as full time approached, had managed to  get back on level terms. Late into injury time, CBS pointed from a free and added a further over before the referee blew the long whistle.
