Minor A's beat Na Fianna in 2nd Championship match
The Minor A team played Na Fianna on Sunday 21 October in the second of their championship matches. The match was away in Mobhi Road, on a lovely morning for hurling.
The first half was nip and tuck, with the visitors being lucky to be ahead, as Na Fianna had a number of bad wides. Crokes benefitted from a fortuitous goal when Mark flicked the ball to the net off the keeper’s stick. This put Crokes ahead 1-04 to 0-03 at half time.
The first 20 minutes of the second half were very tight but Crokes managed to stay ahead, with some nice points from Caolan and Ross, before Matthew scored a goal to put daylight between us. Conor scored a third in the last minute to put a gloss on the scoreline and leave the final score Kilmacud Crokes 3-11 Na Fianna 0-07.
