Week Ending 28th October 2007

Although light on official fixtures, the Bank Holiday weekend still saw three Kilmacud Crokes Hurling teams in action.

On Saturday the under 14’s and under 15’s hosted Portroe from Tipperary, en route to the Railway Cup Finals in Croke Park.  Two entertaining games ensued with the home side victorious in each case.  Our visitors very much appreciated the games and the reception back in Glenalbyn in respect of which we extend our thanks to the respective management teams and all the voluntary helpers.  To mark the occasion Portroe made a presentation of a mirror with local slate surround.

The under 12’s made the journey to Carrigeen in South Kilkenny for that club’s annual all weather tournament and were shaded by Barrow Rangers of Paulstown in a competitive game.  Best for Crokes were Cormac Cullinane, Edward Campion, Dara O’Gallchobhair and Davy Kane.

Minor A Final

Highlight of the coming weekend is the Minor A championship final against Na Fianna fixed for 12.30 in Parnell Park on Sunday 4th November.  All support, especially from children, would be greatly appreciated.
