2006 medal presentation for the 2022 season

The LF 2006 medal presentation for their 2022 season (u16) took place (finally!!) on 16 May.  

The Division 1 team won the 2022 Shield in stirring fashion away to Na Fianna, and finished a very close 2nd to Ballyboden in the league.

The Division 7 team were unlucky in a great battle with Ballyboden in the Championship final (their second successive championship final, having won at u15!).

Michelle Davoren & Rachael Fleming presented the medals and then Tony Hamill addressed the group about the various sporting, health & wellbeing, personal and social benefits that they’ve gained through their involvement with football over the past 10 years or so, and encouraged them to continue playing beyond minor, in what will be a fast growing adult section of the club!

The event began brilliantly with some of the team captains presenting the medals to their friend and teammate Johanna, a key member of the 2006 family for many years! Pizza was then had!

And a well deserved gift from the girls for a coach that has stepped after after 17 consecutive years! Eamon’s prowess will still be evident on Crokes teams, but more so behind the lens from now on!
