U12s record big win v Ballyboden, 2 May 2007

On a beautiful summer's evening in The Hermitage, the Under 12's took on Ballyboden in the  the Cup quarter final. Playing down the hill in the first half, Crokes streaked ahead, with scores by Donncha Ó Murchú (1-01), Mark O'Loughlan (0-01), Ciaran McIntrye (1-02), Donal Keane (0-01) and Kevin Ó'Flannagáin (2-00). Boden managed just 1-01 in this half.

In the second half (playing up the hill) Crokes once again outscored their hosts, with great finishes from Ciaran McIntyre (1-01), Donncha Ó Murchú (0-01), Donal Keane (0-01), Cian MacGabhann (0-1f) and two lovely goals from Adam Spollen (2-00). Ballyboden managed a total of four points in this half.

Once again, following their great win against Éire Óg in Nenagh the previous weekend, the Crokes backs, Odhrán Ó Soicrú,  Michael O'Dwyer, Ronan Horgan, David Kane and Conor Hayes played out of their skins. Playing in goals, Dara Ó Gallchobhair created many scoring opportunities with his excellent puck-outs.

In midfield, Cian MacGabhann and Cathal Keane-Breslin battled manfully, winning many an important tackle. The forwards took their chances well and knocked up an impressive tally.

Super subs on the night were Sean Bedford, Ferdia Rogers, Andrew Price, Gregory Buckley, Michael Mitchell, Adam Spollen and Dylan Paisley.  All played their parts well.

This was an impressive display and puts Crokes through to the Cup Semi Final.
