U8s Blitz hosted by Faughs GAA Club
KC 2004 hurling panel B competed in an u8 hurling blitz at Kimmage Manor last Saturday against host club Faughs GAA and St Vincent’s GAA.
25 boys, including 3 boys from panel A who generously gave of their abilities to supplement panel B’s numbers on the day (thanks, too, go to their parents who agreed to come along!), performed excellently and represented the jersey with great pride, ably led by mentors Ciarán, Cormac and Simon.
Thepanel was split, as per usual for Go Games, into three teams, with each team playing four ten-minute matches. Whilst all the 2004 mentors are focussed on performances and improvements in the boys’ skill sets, it is still worth noting that panel B ended up with a positive overall set of results on the day, winning six and drawing three of the twelve matches played. A fine morning’s action, most of the matches having been keenly and closely contested, enjoyed by players, parents and mentors alike.
Our thanks go to Faughs GAA, and their head u8 mentor John Sarsfield, for organising the event.
Good preparation for the Kilmacud Crokes u8 Invitational Hurling Tournament on Sunday 28th October!
