U9's challenge Monaleen!
U9 (2004) hurlers hit the road again, this time to Limerick
The Kilmacud Crokes u9 (2004) hurling squad was invited over to Monaleen in Limerick to play a challenge against the host club on Sunday 6th October, in what proved to be very high quality matches. The Crokes boys were given a sense on the day of the kind of quality they would face in their 'Festival of Hurling' blitz later in October, with Monaleen being one of the clubs invited. They stood up to the challenge manfully; with these types of trips exposing our lads to a type of hurling that they have not seen as much of, as yet, in the regular Go Games encounters and are invaluable in their development as hurlers. Special mention goes to Tom Maher, who joined us from the u8 squad, but who looked very much at home with the older hurlers.
We look forward to playing this strong Monaleen group on plenty more occasions in the future!
The travelling squad on the day was:
Andrew Dillon, Thomas Doran, James Hamill, David Hyland, Eoin Kenny, Eoin Keys, Danny Killeen, Tom Maher, Oisín McCann, Stephen McMahon, Luke O'Gorman, Sean O'Hurley, Niall O'Mahony, Jamie O'Shea, Conor Stephens, Oisín Tiernan, Tom Walsh
