Those able to tri-locate on a bright sunny Sunday (24th October 2010) saw the minor A’s march on to the county championship final and the seniors and minor B’s bow out at the penultimate stage.
With nearly all eyes on next Sunday’s county senior hurling championship semi final against St Vincents (Parnell Park at 2.00pm) this was a relatively quiet hurling week.
Two more trophies for the cabinet, both minor teams into semi finals and a valiant effort by the intermediates sums up this week’s Kilmacud Crokes hurling story
Saturday 2nd October 2010 provided very agreeable outcomes for Kilmacud Crokes hurling. Both senior and intermediate teams booked championship semi final places and the under 15’s won the Naas tournament.
Saturday 2nd October 2010 proved a day of double quarter final delight for Crokes hurlers as the seniors beat St Brigids by 1-16 to 0-15 in Parnell Park and the intermediates accounted for Naomh Barrog at SIlverpark by 2-9 to 0-10.
The younger teams took centre stage this week with the plaudits going to the minor A’s who racked up their second round robin championship win with victory over Erins Isle in Silverpark on Sunday morning 26th September 2010.
The Autumn Hurling Festival begins again on sunday 3rd October in Glenalbyn. With hundreds of young hurlers arriving in Glenalbyn from all over the country this festival of hurling promises to deliver some thrilling matches.
