Senior A Hurling Championship Final - Back to Club Arrangements This Evening Sat Nov 13th - PLEASE READ
Members Be advised
Its such an exciting weekend. Our Senior A AND Senior B hurling teams in county finals; Saturday and Sunday aswell as Minor Footballers and Snr Ladies in a League final.
Senior As are playing Na Fianna at 6pm this evening in Parnell Park and, win or lose, we will make their homecoming as warm as possible. Unfortunately, we also need to be alert to the increasing COVID risk (5000 cases on Friday!). So it will be different to previous homecomings.
The Club will be adhering to strict guidelines and we need all members to support this.
The players will return to the club by walking up the avenue at 9:15pm this evening. Supporters are invited to line the avenue to welcome them back. The players will enter the function room. Short Speeches will be made and then the players and family members only will be brought upstairs to the bar for refreshments.
Entry to upstairs will not be permitted (for COVID reasons) to anyone else
Members are invited to socialize in the function room. Numbers in the function room will also be strictly monitored - first come, first served (subject to “The House” maximum) . Vaccine certs will be requested at the door.
Please be respectful of the bar and security staff and comply with their directions.
Whether it is on the avenue or in the function room, please know you are welcome and we thank you for all the support. We hope you enjoy the games, but in this Covid environment we all need to be cautious and it will take individual responsibility to keep us all safe.
As regards the Sunday home-coming, we will publish a communication tomorrow.
