Sideline Cut - Championship Up and Running

All 5 Adult Teams get their campaigns underway.
First off were the Senior As who recorded an impressive and workmanlike win vs St Oliver Plunketts in O’Toole Park. Seanie McGrath was tormentor-in-chief with his free taking, the final result was 0.24 to 0.9 (See Match Report)

Next up the Senior Bs did a fine job in securing an away win vs Naomh Mearnog (0.12 to 0.8)
This was a hard fought championship match played in reasonably good
conditions we could have won by a wider margin but for some wayward
shooting but nevertheless our lads dug in especially in the last ten
minutes and secured a very important victory
Best for Crokes were Donnacha O'Murachu,Brian Hanamy,Alex
Pilkington,Tom Clarke and Shane O'Rorke

The Junior Cs topically plundered more Northside spoils with a win away to Parnells – with an impressive 1.23 to 3.13 scoreline.Back after 6 years, Brian Sheehan gave a Captain Fantastic performance by leading and scoring 3 long range points. 

Back at the ranch the Junior As lost by 3 to St Marks (0.18 to 3.12) St Marks channelled a lot of their attacks thru Dublin Senior Dotsy OCallaghan – It was a fine committed performance by the Crokes lads and 2 missed goal chances in the first half proved to make a difference.
Pairc de Burca also witnessed the fielding of 3 O’Dwyers (Conor, Mikey & Stevie), 4 if you wish to include resident umpire Eamonn.

Junior Fs also secured their points vs Fingallians.
Thus all teams should take encouragement and be lookin forward to round 2 in 2 weeks time.

We have been very fortunate to have the pitches in such fine fettle at this time of year – just before Easter a resplendent Silverpark hosted a fine hurling match - the Minor As had a narrow defeat in an epic league match vs Na Fianna (4.14 to 2.22) – One to remember for those that witnessed it.
