ALL IRELAND CLUB FOOTBALL FINAL WEEKEND - THE PLAN !!!!!!!!

Body

Members Be Advised

As we approach All Ireland Club Final’s weekend, where Kilmacud Crokes will take on Kilcoo in our 3rd All Ireland Club Football final, we wanted to outline the activities in the club in support of this occasion. We would like to take this opportunity to wish the team and management all the very best from all in the club community.

On Friday evening Feb 11th in Kilmac’s Bar, there will be a Club evening – “ Up for the Match” so to speak. Members are invited down to reminisce over our 2 previous football final appearances, The Championship run to date and discuss strategies needed to win on Saturday.   Music and Craic will be on offer,  so come along and enjoy

On Saturday, the team will leave for Croke Park at 3pm from the club. Our younger members – boys and girls are invited down in their purple and gold to cheer them off. A number of buses will also leave at 3:30pm  bringing some of these younger members over to the match.

We are planning to welcome the team back to the club at 8:30pm on Saturday evening. All are welcome to come down and cheer them back up the avenue into the club where the party can begin !!!!

In order to facilitate Saturday’s events, there will be restrictions to club access and parking and we would ask members to adhere to these.  Access for the nursery on Saturday morning will be via the back entrance to the club  and parking will be restricted. If possible, please leave the car at home and walk down.  This will also be the case in the afternoon at 3pm to see the team off. The main entrance /avenue from Lwr Kilmacud Road will be closed from early Saturday morning through to Sunday morning.  Stillorgan Shopping center have kindly offered to keep the overflow carpark open through Saturday evening / night, so members can avail of this for parking if they wish.

As we are expecting a big crowd on Saturday evening, we would ask members to be respectful of bar staff and volunteers working to ensure everyone has an enjoyable evening.  Volunteers and security will be onsite to direct people and offer any assistance needed.  We will be leveraging outdoor spaces aswell as indoor to make event as comfortable as possible.  There will be some limited light refreshments  (sandwiches / snacks) available back in the club. Please adhere to Covid guidelines – mask wearing when moving around indoors.  We would respectfully ask that all children be off the premises by 10pm

We would like up front to acknowledge any disruption the Saturday evening event may cause to our close neighbors, and appreciate their continued support for club activities.

Lets make this a weekend to remember
