As we start the new year and the membership renewal window for 2026 is upon us, the Club Executive wanted to inform members of a membership fee increase for 2026 renewals.
The club continues to grow and per the overall GAA ethos, we do not turn anybody away who wants to join. This growth puts continued pressure on facilities and the ongoing cost of running the club .
As you are no doubt aware, the increasing requirement for facilities to enable teams to train and play their games is a major challenge for the club. We need to spend significant and increasing levels of funds on renting facilities to enable this.
In the last nursery joining window of September 2025, another 220 girls & boys have started in our club. As a club we want to be able to welcome everyone who wants to join and we create teams at all grades to enable us to continue with that ethos. We are very proud of the boys and girls and men and women who represent our club at county and higher grade club competitions, but equally proud of the achievements of every single one of our teams and the huge volunteer effort it takes to keep those teams alive and thriving. It does however come at an ongoing increased financial cost.
This continued growth coupled with utility and other running expense challenges, results in us not being able to continue running the club as is needed on the current membership fee structure.
To respond to this, the Club Executive has approved an average of a 10% increase across the different membership categories.
Please know, we didn't take the decision lightly as we understand any increase in costs can be difficult for people, however we do hope members understand the rationale and requirement for the increase.
As is club policy, if anybody is having difficulty in paying their fees they can reach out to the club registrar to discuss a fee arrangement in confidence.
The revised membership rates are now updated on Clubforce to facilitate member renewal. See link on the main club website page.
