Founded in 2016, as part of the Club's mental health programme, the Kilmacud Crokes Choir continues to go from strength to strength.

New members (male and female) are always welcome to join the choir which meets from September to May every year.

Under the direction of musical director Shane Barriscale, choir practice takes place in the function room on Sunday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.00pm.

The choir's repertoire ranges from traditional Irish songs to contemporary songs from movies and musicals.

Over the years the choir's reputation has grown and in addition to club events, has performed in concerts in Kilmacud, Mount Merrion, Monkstown and Glasthule, at ‘Light up’ for Laura Lynn and at the RNLI in Dun Laoghaire. A highlight is the annual Christmas carols in Stillorgan Shopping Centre each December.

Charities which have benefited from the Choir's fundraising performances include The Irish Red Cross, The Blackrock Hospice, Laura Lynn and Fr Tony Coote's Walk While You Can charity.

Line tracks are provided so the ability to read music, while an advantage, is not a requirement. We just love to sing, like to make new friends and enjoy ending the weekend on a high note!

Research has shown that the key benefits of singing in a choir are increased social connection; improved respiratory health; cognitive stimulation and improved mental health. And it's fun!

Anyone interested in joining the choir or who would like more information can join us in the function room on Sunday evening or contact:
