Senior B Hurlers battle to victory
Crokes take the points against combative Setanta
The rain mostly stayed away from Silverpark for this AHL2 encounter, but this was a thunderous clash in every sense, with plenty flash points and lots of stormy action!
The home side opened brightly and clocked up 1-06 to 0-03 by half time. However, Crokes' task was made harder after the break, as not much seemed to go their way, much to the vociferous irritation of some among the home crowd. A number of players had to be substituted, following very heavy tackles.
To their credit, the lads stuck to their task, winning out in the end by 11 points - 2-13 to 0-08, thanks in no small way to two brililant penalty saves.
The Senior B's next outing is against Faughs next Tuesday at 7:30pm in Tymon North (and NOT on Saturday 2 July as advertised elsewhere).
