Now is the time to get your coaching qualification. See below for details sent out by Paraic McDonald: 
  • Foundation Award Football Course - (see attached flyer)
    • This course is part of the official GAA Coach Education Programme and all coaches who work with players are expected to take this course.

    • The Foundation Course is a 6-8 hour course and will be held over 3 nights
    • Dates & Times - 
      • Tuesday 3rd December 7pm to 9.30pm
      • Thursday 5th December 7pm to 9.30pm
      • Tuesday 10th December 7pm to 9.30pm
    • Venue - St Laurences Boys National School, Lower Kilmacud Road
    • Coaches can at the same time qualify to coach Hurling by also completing night 2 of the Hurling Course which will take place on Monday 2nd December in Room 4 Glenalbyn

  • National Coaching Conference
    • The 2014 National Coaching Conference will take place on Friday 10th & Saturday 11th January in Croke Park
    • Following on from the initial cycle of Child, Youth and Adult Conferences in 2010 - 2012 the focus will return to issues related to the Child Player (aged 4-12years).
    • The theme of the conference is "Inspiring Children: Fostering a Love of Gaelic Games"

  • Award 1 Child Coaching Course 
    • The underage Football Coaching Committee of Kilmacud Crokes once again plans to run an Award 1 Child Coaching Course in January 2014
    • This course is aimed at coaches of juvenile teams (U12 and below)
    • This course consists of 7 modules and is the 2nd award on the coaching pathway of the GAA

    • Places are limited and will be split evenly between the various age groups at Coiste and Ladies Football
    • It is planned to hold the course over 2 weekends in January
      • Friday 17th & Sat 18th January
      • Friday 24th & Sat 25th January
