Crokes Talks - News & Reports
We kicked off our Autumn walks last Saturday week after the summer break with a hike up and down Camenabologue. Great turnout again of 18 and thanks to Pat for leading us up and down safely. See photos below from the day. We stopped off in Lynams in Laragh for the much needed refreshments.
An Autism in Sport Training Workshop took place in Kilmacud Crokes on Monday Sept 24th.
23 people attended this training . For the most part Kilmacud Crokes were represented but Leinster Cricket and local primary schools were also represented.
The choir is restarting this Sunday 9th September 2018 at 6pm in the function room.
All are welcome and no previous experience required- just turn up and let it soar.
Well done to the Kilmacud Crokes Choir who were part of this evening which raised a magnificent 13,254 Euro
This promises to be a great night. Marty Morrissey from RTE will be MC for this fabulous event .
And none other than Britain’s Got Talent star Fr. Ray Kelly and X-factor Mary Byrne will be performing on the night aswell as our very own Kilmacud Crokes Choir.
Lovely walk around Upper and Lower Lough Bray on Saturday. Bit misty at the start but once it cleared you could see the full views in all their glory.
Another great walk last Sunday as the tennis hike went up Tonelagee which is the 3rd highest mountain in Wicklow. Good turnout of 16 enjoyed the clear day, fantastic 360 views the, but weren’t as impressed with the bitter wind at the top. Will someone let the man up above know that it’s May!
Many thanks to all the Kilmacud Crokes members who attended to support the choir at the event raising valuable funds for the Club signature charity Laura Lynn. We would also like to thank Michael in the Village Café for the “green room” delicious food post the event.
