Death Notice Bridie (Bridget) Sweeney (née McCarthy) RIP
Kilmacud Crokes is deeply saddened to learn about the death of Bridie Sweeney. Bridie is mother to club stalwart John Sweeney. John played center half back on the Kilmacud Crokes team who won the All Ireland Club Championship in 1995. John is heavily involved in supporting all club related development and facilities maintenance activities. John and Linda's daughters - Emer and Kate play Ladies football with the club, Emer is the Snr Ladies Football captain. John's brother Michael played hurling with Kilmacud and his Dad Michael Snr played briefly as well. Bridie's grand daughters Grace and Orla also played Ladies Football and Camogie. Kilmacud, Dublin / Cahirciveen, Kerry
Peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park following a short illness. Predeceased by her son Declan, brother Frank and sister Maureen. Wife of Michael and mother of John, Mary, Breeda and Michael. Bridie will be very sadly missed by her loving family, beloved grandchildren Grace, Jonathan, Orla, Emma, Emer and Kate, daughter-in-law Linda, her brother John-Joe, sisters Joan, Emily, Sheila and Eileen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum on Tuesday (January 18th) from 3 pm to 5 pm for family and close friends.
Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of St Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud for funeral Mass at 11.30 oc which may be viewed on the parish web camera at: https://churchmedia.tv/camera/church-of-st-laurence-otoole-kilmacud followed by committal in Mount Jerome Crematorium.
