The Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club community is saddened to hear of the passing of Orla O'Neill (Smith). Orla is married to Donal and mum to Rory, Kevin and Aoife.  Rory, Kevin and Aoife all play in the club across a number of codes and both Orla and Donal have been great supporters and volunteers in the club over the years.  We send our collective sympathies and condolences to Donal, Rory, Kevin and Aoife and all of Orla's extended family. They will remain in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.   Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam

The death has occurred of Orla O'NEILL Roebuck Castle, Clonskeagh, Dublin / Bettystown, Meath

Peacefully, at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown after a long illness borne with grace and dignity.

Beloved wife of Donal Smith and devoted mother of Rory, Kevin, Aoife and the late Cáitlín. Cherished daughter of Pat and Margaret O’Neill.

Orla will be sadly missed by her loving siblings Ciara, Rory, Bronagh, Hugh, Dara, Niamh, Murna and Fiona, mother-in-law Mrs Mairead Smith, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and her many wonderful friends, neighbours and colleagues from the worlds of law (TCD and Beauchamps Solicitors), banking (LGT Asset Management and Bank of Liechtenstein), teaching (Froebel College and Muslim National School, Clonskeagh), music (Scoil San Treasa, Mount Merrion) and sport (DSD AC and Kilmacud Crokes).

Donal, Rory, Kevin and Aoife would like to express their heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital Limerick, St Luke’s Hospital Rathgar, Beaumont Hospital and St Francis Hospice Blanchardstown and all those who cared for and helped Orla during her illness.

May she Rest in Peace

Orla has donated her body to medical science.

A Requiem Mass for Orla will be celebrated in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion on Friday morning (22nd July) at 11.30 am.
