EGM ON FACILITIES - OUTCOME
Body
The club has taken a major step forward on the
development and provision of facilities for our membership - a key
deliverable in our Club's strategic plan. At last night's EGM a motion was
passed to pursue an option to become the anchor GAA club to leverage
the newly developed Saint Benildus All Weather pitch for weekend use. This is subject to the club's required terms and conditions being agreed. The
EGM was well attended and after a comprehensive presentation of the proposal, followed by a qualitative and informative debate/discussion, the motion was put to a vote and was passed with a
substantial majority.
The next steps on progressing this and additional development options, including the existing planning application in progress for Páirc De Búrca, will be worked by Joan Kehoe (Exec Development Officer) and her development working group. The club would like to acknowledge the work done by this group to date. We would also like to acknowledge the facilitation provided by the De La Salle Brothers and staff of Benildus College in the creation of this option.
Further updates on our club's overall development roadmap, including the next steps on the progression of the Benildus option, will be provided in due course.
