Workshop - "Athletic Development for young Players"
Target audience - Coaches & Parents of teams and players from Under 6 to Under 18, Boys & Girls
Tutor - Daniel Tobin, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Leinster Rugby
Venue - Sports Hall, Coláiste Eoin, Stillorgan Road
Date - Thursday 10th March 2011
Time - 7.30pm to 9.30pm
The workshop will be given by Daniel Tobin, Strength & Conditioning Coach to the Leinster Senior Rugby Squad. Daniel comes from an Athletics background and ran for Ireland in the 400m. After graduating from DCU with a degree in Sports Science he worked with the Dublin Senior Football team for 2 years as well as the U21 team.
Daniel will be joined on the workshop by two current Leinster Rugby Players who are also former Kilmacud Crokes Footballers. Ian Madigan and Ian McKinley played Juvenile Football in the club under the guidance of Gerry Greene up too and including the All Ireland U14 Féile title winning team in 2003 where their teammates were Rory O'Carroll and Barry O'Rorke among others. The two Ian's will assist Daniel by providing practical demonstrations of some of the movements.
The venue is the Sports Hall in Coláiste Eoin (beside the Radisson St Helens on the Stillorgan Dual Carriageway) and the workshop will start at 7.30pm sharp. There is no charge for attending.
