SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL GUEST SPEAKER:  Dave O’Brien

 Dave O’Brien “Lives Life to the Plus+”.  He has run over 400 races including 30+ marathons, appeared on two TV survival shows, and at the age of 43 climbed the seven highest peaks in Ireland in 23hrs 28 mins – a 14 year old record that stands to this day.  By completing the four infamous 250 km races, in 2010 – the Hottest, Coldest, Driest and Windiest Deserts in the world all in the same year, Dave became one of only a handful of men in the world and also the oldest man on the planet to complete them in a 38 week period.

Emma Buckley – Consultant Nutritionist & TV presenter

Emma Buckley is a Consultant Nutritionistand an award winning Television presenter.  She is consultant nutritionist for Cocoon Childcare and prior to this she was consultant nutritionist for SuperValu supermarkets.   Having worked for TV3 and RTE in Ireland, she moved to the US in 2005 and worked for CBS, HBO and hosted a parenting healthshow, Real Savvy Moms on PBS for 3 years. It was on this show that she won her award for a segment of Cord Blood Banking. She has had the privilege of interviewing some of the worlds top experts in medicine, nutrition and psychology and can currently be seen on TV3’s Midday show.

 Dr. Patrick Duggan - MB, MICGP, FFSEM (RCPI/RCSI)

Dr. Duggan is a specialist in orthopaedic/sports medicine. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (RCSI/RCPI) in 2002. Dr. Duggan has been doctor to the Dublin Senior Football team for many years and presently is chairman of the Medical/Scientific Committee in Croke Park. He has separate clinics in family practice and sports medicine. He is currently a board member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine  (RCSI/RCPI), and a member of the Irish Institute of Sport Advisory Group.
