Kilmacud Crokes Cycling Club KCWheelers
Members Advisory
We have a very active cycling club within Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club – with as many as 100 members cycling regularly in different groups. We are a mixed group – drawn from all ages across the club (an age spread of over fifty years). Some of us only took up cycling after retiring from other sports, some joined the Club to cycle. A number of us have completed Mizen to Malin, more of us have no interest in 5 day cycles and enjoy shorter runs at the weekend or midweek.
We are always looking to have more members to join the cycling club. Safety is our number one priority. And after that we just want to give everyone an opportunity to participate, maintain or improve their fitness and develop new friendships in the Club.
If you are interested in trying it out why not drop an email to our email address kcwheelers@kilmacudcrokes.com and we will arrange for you to join one of our groups for a spin on a Saturday or Sunday? No pressure – a first spin might be no more than an hour (with a coffee break). And for any more advanced cyclists there are plenty of options – people going out for 50Km, 100Km+, flat runs, climbs and every combination.
All members of Kilmacud Crokes Wheelers must be over 18, hold a valid GAA club or KGSC Tennis membership for the year and also be a member of Cycling Ireland. To try it out, we won’t ask you to join Cycling Ireland straight away.
It’s all about participation and having some fun – while maintaining safety on the road as our number 1 priority.
