Kilmacud Crokes Summer Schedule of Events 2012 |
There is are a number of summer camps and coaching available at Kilmcud Crokes for July and August. Set out below are the details of these camps together with a summary schedule. 1.. The Glenalbyn Mult Sport Summer Camps will run for 5 weeks starting on Monday, 9th July. Daily activities include Swimming, Tennis, Gaelic Football& Hurling, Basketball and numerous other field sports. This year's progamme has expanded to include a new Athletic Development Programme which will include Children's Olympics as well as new Under 7 Specific programme. Wet weather activities are also catered for. The camps will be run by Niamh Muprhy ( Primary School teacher & Kilmacud Crokes Ladies Footballer) and Kevin Nolan (Secondary School PE teacher & Kilmacud Crokes/Dublin Senior Football Player). This camp is suitable for children aged 5-14 years. Forms are now available from the office in Glenalbyn. 2. The Silverpark Supervised Coaching will take place for 2 weeks this year in Silverpark,starting Monday 9th July and finishing Friday, 20th July. Participants must be members of Kilmacud Crokes underage teams. Gaelic Football coaching takes place from 11am to 1pm & hurling coaching from 1pm to 3pm. 3. Kelloggs Cúl Camps: Kilmacud Crokes will then host 1 week of the official GAA Gaelic Summer camps www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie in Silverpark on Monday, 23rd July. Gaelic Football activiites will take place in the morning and Hurling/Camogie activities will take place in the afternoon. Forms are now available from the office. 4. Our normal GAA Summer Camps will then take palce for 2 weeks in August back in Glenalbyn. The Kilmacud Crokes themed GAA camps will commence with Gaelic Football on the 1st week starting Monday, 13th August followed by the Hurling & Camogie camp on Monday, 20th August. The camp programme will be the same as before but this year a Kilmacud Crokes themed gift will be given out as well as all the normal prizes. Forms for this event will be availabe at the end of May. Summer Camp Coaches - application forms for coaches who wish to work in this Summer's events are available from the office in Glenalbyn. Closing date for applications is Friday, 1st June 2012.
