Sunday October 16th - Big Day for the Club

Body

Next Sunday we will add to the list of Big days in the History of our Club. It will be a great representation of “ Effort is Equal” across our Ladies and Men’s codes.  The Senior Ladies Footballers will play their first ever Leinster Quarter final against DunBoyne in Pairc De Burca at 1:30pm.  Lots of effort has been put in over the last week to have Pairc De Burca looking its best for the occasion.  This game is an All Ticket affair with Under 16’s being allowed free admission. Tickets can be bought at the following link  - https://bit.ly/3CsWtmh   - we need a Big show of support for the team against the Meath champions.  The Club Shop will be open between 12 and 2pm to buy all those Hat’s and Flags !!!

Following the excitement of this game, club members will have to high tail it across the city where our men’s Senior Footballers will play their county final in Parnell Park against Na Fianna at 4:30pm.  Again, this is an all ticket game with tickets available at - https://bit.ly/3T9pE4p  The game will be shown on TG4 for those who can’t make it.

In the evening after the men’s game, we will welcome both Ladies and Men’s teams back to the club where members can show their appreciation and acknowledge their commitment/effort and hopefully winning outcomes.

As you can appreciate, there are quiet an amount of logistics to be put in place for the Ladies Leinster quarter final. There will be traffic restrictions in place with the club entrance from Lwr Kilmacud Road closed from early Sunday morning. Access to the club will be maintained from the rear entrance.  There will also be very limited parking so we would ask members if you are coming down to the club, please consider walking and leave the car at home. Please do not park in Allen Park Drive and block any entrances to our neighbors houses. Also, respect any dedicated disabled parking spots – do not use unless you are entitled to use them.  We would ask folks to please respect and follow the directions of volunteers, stewards and staff members working at the event.

Looking forward to a fantastic weekend for the club.
