Update on the Government's Sports Capital Grant

As you will know we have been approved for funding from the Government's Sports Capital Grant scheme to support the redevelopment of Pairc de Burca and the club has been vigorously pursuing this project.

The latest update is that our planning application has been turned down by An Bord Pleanala for technical access reasons on the Lower Kilmacud Road side (the full decision of An Bord is available on their website).

The club's development team is confident that a fresh application can be made which will address the problems of the Bord and we are working hard to advance that. We look forward to an effective planning process with Dunlaoghaire Rathdown County Council which will benefit from all of the technical work done to date during planning.

As soon as the Club completes planning we will, as promised, revert to a general meeting of the members for decision before embarking on any development project. In the meantime we are satisfied that we are working within the time frames available to draw down the promised grant support.
