Kilmacud Crokes Sports Capital Grant Program Update - Great News

Body

As members will likely know, The Department of Tourism, Transport and Sport manages the Sports Capital Grant Program. This program aims to foster an integrated and planned approach to developing sports and physical recreation facilities throughout the country.  We are delighted to inform members that in recent round of announcements, Minister Shane Ross, T.D has signed off on a grant to Kilmacud Crokes under this program. A  small sub team of club executive members and members including Seamus Kennedy, John Sweeney, Patricia Lloyd and Joan Kehoe  worked on a submission for funds to upgrade the dressing rooms in Silverpark.  We have been awarded 149k for the completion of this project. Coupled with the 200K we have been awarded from a previous grant program for the development of Parc De Burca (a sum which will be spent in the coming 12 months), we are delighted with this support. It will greatly help in our Club’s ambition to provide facilities which meet the needs of our  membership of all ages and in all codes.

Watch out for future updates on club communication channels re progress on this development activity.
