Baker's Boys Bounce Back to Beat Barrs in Bogies by 6

Strong victory by Senior A's in AHL1

Following recent defeats in the league Crokes bounced back to take the honours, on a gloriously sunny evening in Cabra.

Crokes were still short some regulars but their deputies more than stepped up to the plate - and they needed to! Barrs presented a tough physical challenge and made life difficult for their southside guests. Their star performer Trollier (AKA Eamon Dillon) scored three of their four goals. However, thanks to an excellent Barry Mulligan goal as half time approached, Crokes went into the second half two points to the good (2-05 to 1-10).

After the break matters became more physical and Barrs paid the price, being reduced to 14 as the final whistle approached. Crokes hung on and indeed extended their lead, to win out by 6 points in the end.
