Kilmacud Crokes FBD All Ireland Ladies U14 Sevens Competition

This year sees Kilmacud Crokes together with our sponsors FBD host the eleventh All Ireland Seven a Side competition. With 32 teams taking part from every corner of Ireland, we look forward to welcoming all players, mentors and supporters to Pairic De Burca on the 27th of September. During the eleven years since it began, friendships have been gained, with keen competition on the pitches and the sidelines. This year welcomes new teams from Tyrone, Louth, Kerry and Dublin, playing alongside teams that have entered for many years in the competition.

Kevin Foley, chairperson of the club, sees this event as one which makes a contribution to Ladies Football nationally and congratulated Kilmacud Crokes players, Molly Lamb, Michelle Davoren and Éabha Rutledge who will represent Dublin in the All Ireland Final on Sunday against Cork.

The chairperson of Kilmacud Crokes Ladies football, Donal Daly, thanked FBD Insurance for sponsoring the U14 7s and said he was delighted to have them involved and their financial contribution would greatly assist with the efficient running of the 7s.

Pat Quill, Uachtarán, Cumann Peil Gael na mBan has said the success of the tournament is testimony of the organisational ability of John Sheridan and the committees over the years. Pat thanked the players for the enjoyment they provide us with and the support of mentors and parents for providing them with an opportunity to develop confidence and skills for life and hoped they would have treasured memories of their visit to the famed Kilmacud Crokes club. Pat will be stepping down as Uachtarán when his term concludes in March 2015 and Kilmacud Crokes would like to thank Pat for all his support, encouragement, time and his company as always at the U14 7s and wished him well.
