ASH 2 Hurling Forum & Workshop, 3 November @ 8pm
ASH 2, Action for the Success of Hurling 2
Please see below attached notice in relation to forthcoming workshop and forum.
The Hurling Committee has decided to carry out a general operational review over the next 6 weeks with a view to presenting a report to the Hurling AGM on Sunday 15th December.
This report will be titled ASH 2, Action for the Success of Hurling 2 and will be a follow up to the original ASH report that resulted in a lot of the breakthroughs and developments for the game of hurling in the club and in the community over the past 10 years.
We think that the quieter period running up to the AGM is an appropriate time for us to take stock of the on field and coaching activities with a view to refreshing, renewing and refocusing our sights for the period up to 2020.
The areas the subject of the view and report will include coaching and teams at all levels from nursery to senior and review of the appropriate best practice to adopt around team preparation and management.
We will also be setting goals and standards that we would hope to achieve with a view to developing, promoting the game of hurling in the club and community.
We would welcome all those who are either directly involved in or have any interest in the game of hurling to come along and share their thoughts at the first workshop and forum on Sunday 3 November.
We will have a follow up session on Sunday 10 November and thereafter, the inputs will be co-ordinated by the Hurling Committee with a view to preparing the ASH 2 report.

I would encourage all to come along on Sunday or if they are unavailable would welcome input by email or written submission.
