Lovely evening in Stillorgan, as the rain held off and the sun even broke through the clouds on occasion! The large attendance witnessed an absorbing and physical encounter, with some fractious moments. Neither side managed to dominate and a draw was probably a fair result.

Among the large crowd in attendance were Anthony Daly and Richie Stakelum (Dublin Senior hurling management), keeping a close eye on the Inter county contingent representing both teams.
